Mike, thats good to know (especially your time approximation....even though I have some skepticism).

You actually weren't the Stranger we were talking about since our meeting was more accidental but yo should be 'that stranger' soon. It would be good to swap ideas on search vs. social. But for the sake of this public board, I will reiterate now that its not that I dont think its important - its that I'd rather focus on social than stress about the other as I think it serves our needs best now.

Maybe, just maybe, I'm also just getting over-excited for our David vs the Google Golaith story

Of course, my name is Adil. ;)

There's no reason you can't do both search and social. Is this really what you want?

http://www.google.ca/search?q=site:mycitylives.com&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=KDy&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&filter=0

Leaving SEO, the site looks awesome. I'll keep my eye open for stuff to video :P

Hey Adil!

I'm assuming i'm the stranger here.

I don't mean to suggest SEO is be-all-end-all here, but rather it's low hanging fruit. Especially with a site that's so content centric like yours.

It'd be as simple as having permalinks with the title and meta description rendered statically (instead of anchor->javascript that updates page title), and submitting a dynamically generated sitemap to google using webmaster tools.

You'll be showing up in all sorts of searches for toronto locations and businesses for what's likely half a days work.
