well put adam! I bet alot of Canadians have never thought about how we don’t have our own cars… I certainly never thought about it. I wonder why?Hno one ventured to create the business or are there other less obvious reasons?

thanks for the comments guys. theres no real reason why it hasn’t done it yet other than there hasn’t been a good time/person to do it.
There is an electric car made in canada, but i think you can only get it in a few provinces and it only goes a max speed of 40kph…. so i dont know what youd do with that…. drive up and down your driveway maybe

Does anyone actually know where there isn’t a Canadian Car? If cost is an issue, we can get China to make it, put in one part Canadian and then refer to it as the Canadian Car. Hasn’t stopped us before.

Adam, not a bad first entry and definitely an idea that’s worth discussion. Its odd because a Canadian car seems like such a simple idea an given our resources and skills, why aren’t we already doing it?

I do think we need to develop a niche aka green tech type of car. Would provide us with the type of business/thought leadership that we often say we want to forge.
