In January of this year, unimpressed by the constant doom and gloom stories regarding the recession, and also affected by it in several ways, a small group of committed individuals decided to create a community called “Creativity Killed the Recession.” Our aim with CKTR was to bring creative people together to network, support, and collaborate ideas under the collective goal of using creativity to alleviate the recession and its mental and physical effects. Among our most notable achievements was the collaborative creation of My City Lives.

With the recession over we decided it was time for our community to move on and work on new projects of change. So we stopped organizing the Creative Club but the premise continues to manifest unplanned while working on My City Lives. For this and many others reasons, we thought it was important to maintain CKTR’s virtual existence and position it as My City Live’s official blog.

So that explains CKTR, if you want to know more about us personally you can either ask Google or better yet, ask us directly. We’re always happy to connect.
